Enjoy a relaxing Swedish Massage and leave the world behind.
Swedish is a relaxing massage which involves long fluid strokes of the muscles with pressure that varies from light pressure to firm pressure depending on your desired touch. These long gliding strokes help to increase the level of oxygen in the blood, and assists in decreasing muscle toxins.

Myofascial release (MFR) is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of muscle immobility and pain. This alternative massage therapy aims to relax contracted muscles, improve blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulate the stretch reflex in muscles. Some consider MFR as "deep tissue" massage.
Fascia is a thin, tough, elastic type of connective tissue that wraps most structures within the human body, including muscle. Fascia supports and protects these structures. Osteopathic theory proposes that this soft tissue can become restricted due to psychogenic disease, overuse, trauma, infectious agents, or inactivity, often resulting in pain, muscle tension, and corresponding diminished blood flow. Since fascia is an interconnected web, the restriction or tightness can spread to other places in the body like a pull in a sweater. Other tissue may be addressed as well, including connective tissue.
Because it is so effective, some feel that MFR is the ultimate therapy. It is safe, gentle and consistently produces long lasting results.

Triggerpoint Therapy, also called Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is an effective way to assess and treat soft-tissue injuries and chronic pain. NMT differs from a regular relaxing massage because it incorporates the nervous system. When your nerve cells (also called neurons) become unhealthy or die, communication between your nervous system and muscles break down. As a result, your muscles weaken, start to disintegrate, and waste away. This weakness can lead to twitching, cramps, aches and pains, in addition to joint and mobility problems.
This scientific modality of massage therapy provides specific muscular pain relief and will help to bring balance between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. NMT enhances the function of joints, muscles and biomechanics (movement) and it releases endorphins, the body's own natural pain killers.
There are other physiological factors that intensify pain patterns such as poor nutrition and a lack of emotional well-being. Through applied knowledge of trigger points, NMT addresses poor posture, biomechanical dysfunction, nerve compression syndrome, and a restriction in blood supply to tissues (ischemia). The method is based on finding (palpating) improper structural and biomechanical actions of muscles in the body. By applying specific pressure on the trigger point of a muscle, the referral area generally relieves the entire muscle. NMT provides immediate relief for muscular tension, and patients often feel better after only one visit.
